We’ve crafted resources to ensure our partners have every available tool necessary to educate their clients whether they are new or experienced in working with stone. Introducing our first CEU Course–aimed at educating our partners on the stone and stone manufacturing world. Accredited by NSI, AIA, LACES, and IDCEC, this course will help generate more business from architects and designers while helping partners and clients alike in communicating the intricacies of dimensional stone. Perfectly — Imperfect

Dealers–we’ve listened closely to your feedback and are making strong efforts to display the full range of our stone on the website. It is possible to create perfectly clean blemish free tile but it comes at a cost–either the sacrifice of sustainability or natural material altogether. Creating identical yet completely tiles with natural stone involves taking various small sections from an entire block, cutting them out, and discarding up to 80% of the block in some cases. While some manufacturers in the market might feel comfortable doing this, it goes directly against Borrowed Earth’s ethos. As our name suggests, we borrow, and we do not intend to waste or mutilate nature the pursuit of “perfection,” since stone holds millions of years of Earth’s naturally forged beauty already. This being stated, we strive to provide all the resources we can to our partners to accurately communicate this vision, message, and sentiment to clients.

We know how important it is for a client to truly understand the product they are purchasing. While we take pride in the quality of our work, it is still important to keep the client aware. To alleviate some of the pressure from clients who want to see what they are purchasing, we are taking Lot Photography of everything coming into inventory. Please share Lot imagery only after ensuring a client understands the natural factors affecting stone’s appearance, and after specification. These are to be used as a final check before dispatching material. Eventually, we will incorporate this into our website and app for easy access. The format below will be live on our website soon, so you will have the capability to check inventory easily in real time.
